Spirituality and Integrity in Youth Leadership
South Asia Christian Youth Network is a Network of young leaders from South Asia with a mission to build connections. It is all about inspiring, preparing and strengthening young Christian adults to cross bridges to encounter and share their faith and lives with those who are different circumstances, languages, cultures, ethnicity, nationality, lifestyles, faiths, backgrounds etc.
SACYN has had trainings and meetings in various countries in South Asia and that has helped to build bridges, nurture strong personal relations between the future leadership of the Church in south Asia and has been a useful vessel in training and equipping Asian young people on issues and challenges which are relevant to the Church and the Christianity in Asia today. SACYN has over the past 13 years provided a forum for young leaders of South Asia to meet together annually in smaller numbers of 40-50 and every few years in large numbers at a main conference (Colombo in 2002, Bangalore in 2005 and Pokhara in 2010) in different countries. Those were occasions not only of meaningful fellowship; but also of serious theological and biblical reflections. The issues discussed in the previous sessions include globalization, indigenization, peace, conflict resolution, youth culture, being a Christian in a pluralistic society and other such pertinent themes.
